News & Information
CAMP HOPE is a day camp for bereaved children.
The Clarion Forest Visiting Nurses Association is pleased to offer a day camp bereavement program for children ages 5-17 who have experienced the death of a loved one or friend.
This program called Camp Hope will be held on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017 from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM at Whitehall Camp and Conference Center, 508 Whitehall Rd, Emlenton, PA.
The day will be filled with activities that will assist the children in learning to cope with the death of their loved one. Through this experience they will make new friendships, learn coping skills, be creative and have fun! VNA staff as well as VNA volunteers will work with the children throughout the day. This year we will be including team building activities as well as a time for kayaking, paddle boats or canoeing on a small lake at Whitehall Camp. The event will also include creating remembrances of their loved one to take home, a memorial circle of sharing, and many more exciting activities. A continental breakfast, as well as lunch will be provided for the children.
For more information please contact the VNA at 814-297-8400.
